There are many ways to enjoy our valley, from walking to cycling, getting involved with us to improve the valley and keep it clean and having fun with our family activity sheets. Now there are 10 new geocaches hidden in our section of the valley for you to find (there are also a few that have been there for a while).
For those of you unfamiliar with geocaching the best way to describe it is… the world’s largest treasure hunting game. Over 3 million cleverly hidden containers called geocaches are hidden all over the world just waiting to be found.
Committee member Rob Hardman who goes by the user name LizardRobb has hidden the 10 caches (all named with the prefix FoTV) to honour the Friends of the Tame Valley and to give everyone an alternative way to explore the valley, even going to some places off the beaten track.
Geocaching is free to play and all you need is to sign up at geocaching.com, a GPS enabled device (free apps are available for smartphones), a pen and a sense of adventure.
If you find any let us know how you got on and send us a photo to web.fotv@gmail.com and we will publish it here.
